An energetic teenage heroine wins a role on a local TV dance program in the 1960's. She becomes a celebrity overnight, launching a campaign for social justice ...and big hair! The award-winning score includes "Good Morning Baltimore". Based on John Water's '80's flick, "Hairspray" incorporates fun and a serious relevant message with lots of high-energy choreography and humor. Featuring Springfield PA's Victoria Mayo as Tracy Turnblad and Broadway's William Thomas Evans as Edna Turnblad.

The Rotary Club of Media to host Auction 2012 and help community organizations as well as local charities.
On Friday, November 2nd, Rotary Club of Media will host its long awaited Auction at The Drexelbrook in Drexel Hill, PA.
The evening includes a cocktail hour and dinner with local Rotarians and an opportunity to bid on a wide selection of unique items. Your support during this delightful evening will go right back into the community in which we live. Aligned with the Media Rotary Foundation goals, the Rotary Club of Media 2012 Auction will share part of the proceeds with three highly respected community organizations in addition to it’s continued support of local charities. The selected organizations for this year’s auction are: City Team of Philadelphia, Family Support Line, and Media Upper Providence Library’s building campaign. Tickets to attend the event are $75.00.
